Heidy Cuevas, P.E. is the CEI Area Manager – Southern Florida/Senior Project Engineer for CDR Maguire Engineering, bringing 15 years of experience in construction and engineering in both private and public sectors.

Prior to joining CDR Maguire Engineering, Heidy served as the Turnpike Materials Operations Engineer for FDOT, where she set up processes that helped with the improvement of the Turnpike Materials Program. Prior to that position, and through other various roles throughout her career with FDOT in Districts 4 and 6, Heidy had the opportunity to lead major arterial projects—most proving to be very challenging construction projects with significant community involvement.

In the private sector, Heidy worked as a Project Engineer with Odebrecht, Astaldi and Dragados-USA—having the opportunity to work on the I-595 express improvements project.

Heidy holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, (INTEC)-Dominican Republic, an M.S. in Construction Management from Florida International University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. She is responsible for leading projects and CDR’s project teams in Southern Florida.
