Dan Mathew
Vice President of Operations
Dan Mathew has over 30 years of experience in the emergency medical industry, starting his career as an Emergency Medical Technician in a small community’s 911 system. He continued to serve in multiple emergency response roles in one of the largest urban fire departments in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, eventually retiring as the Fire Chief in 2018 after serving for 6 years in that role.
After a brief retirement, Dan served as the Executive Director of Emergency Communications for the 3rd busiest Public Safety Answering Point in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, where he provided strategic and operational leadership for the county-wide dispatch center—serving 15 fire/EMS and 14 police agencies, as well as successfully leading the build-out and transition to a $21M three-county regional digital radio system upgrade.
In 2021, Dan joined CDR Health as the Sr. Director of Strategic Operations and helped to conceptualize, coordinate, deploy, and lead COVID-19 testing, vaccination, and monoclonal antibody static sites and mobile missions in North and Central Florida, South Carolina, and Texas. He also assisted with the operational process improvement for all missions to improve safety, compliance, and increased throughput for better return on investment.
Most recently, following widespread devastation in Kentucky from two natural disasters, Dan worked with our Emergency Management Division to provide consultation to the Kentucky Emergency Management Executive Leadership, and coordinated with the Commonwealth, as well as Federal and local partners to successfully effectuate the Commonwealth Emergency Operations Center’s response activities, including providing situational awareness to the Governor’s Office and drafting the Disaster Housing Annex of the Commonwealth Emergency Operations Plan.
Dan currently serves as the Vice President of Operations, supporting our government services healthcare contracts. With comprehensive knowledge of emergency and disaster management and response operations, he is a hands-on leader with the ability to create and implement thorough strategic plans through meticulous and mission-oriented documentation of analysis, planning, and operations.
