Monoclonal Antibody Treatment Sites Closures for Dec. 21
Today, CDR Health, one of the state’s leading COVID-19 testing, vaccination and monoclonal antibody treatment providers, announced that four sites will temporary close on December 21, 2021 as treatment supply is redistributed within the state. The State of Florida continues to request additional doses from the federal government as demand increases. Staff are also being trained in new administration and operations to expand supply options at these sites.
The following sites will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Patients with scheduled appointments will be immediately contacted regarding rescheduling their appointment beginning Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
CB Smith Park in Broward County
Tropical Park in Miami-Dade County
Old Bonita Spring Library in Lee County
St. Lucie Fairgrounds in St. Lucie County
“Last week, CDR Health shifted to appointments only, with proof of a COVID positive test. While we await additional allocations from the federal government, we are working with the State of Florida to redistribute treatment supply and quickly reschedule appointments. CDR Health is also training staff in new administration techniques to maximize services and resume operations as quickly as possible,” said CDR Health CEO, Tina Vidal-Duart.
These CDR sites will be open on Wednesday at a reduced capacity offering Bamlanivimab, another brand of monoclonal antibodies administered via IV, until additional supplies of Regeneron are available.
“The State expects additional doses to be delivered by the federal government by the end of the week. The goal is for closures to only last one day and to quickly reschedule all appointments,” she added. “Our number one goal is to reopen the sites as quickly as possible and continue to provide this lifesaving treatment.”
